Debate Competition

A district-level debate competition titled “Addressing Malnutrition Issues in Sindh: Strategies and Way Forward” was successfully organised at Ziauddin University, Sukkur Campus, on November 26th, 2024. The event featured eight talented debaters who passionately discussed the pressing issue of malnutrition. The panel of esteemed jury members, including Dr. Muhammad Usman Khan, Principal of Ziauddin College of Physical Therapy, Dr. Ayesha Jabeen, Vice Principal of the College of Pharmacy, and Ms. Ambreen, a representative of the Strengthening Participatory Organisation (SPO), thoroughly evaluated the performances. The winners were announced as Mr. Ahmed Mian securing 1st prize, Mr. Hammad Hussain earning 2nd prize, and Ms. Aqsa Memon taking 3rd prize. They were awarded cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7,000, and Rs. 5,000, respectively, along with certificates of achievement. Dr. Muhammad Usman Khan appreciated the participants for their exceptional efforts and extended heartfelt gratitude to SPO for their instrumental role in organising this meaningful event. The event also welcomed guests from the community, colleges, and schools. Giveaways and lunch were served to all attendees, reflecting the university’s dedication to fostering dialogue on critical societal challenges.
